WOMEN'S DAY, MEETING WITH MUMS AND GRANDMAS

Como actividad del proyecto eTwinning "WOMEN: Women Of Modern European Nations" invitamos a algunas madres y abuelas de nuestro alumnado a venir a clase para hacerles una entrevista.
El alumnado de los distintos centros europeos, que participan en el proyecto, han redactado previamente en clase algunas preguntas, en inglés, para entrevistar a las mujeres invitadas de otros colegios y se han realizado diferentes vídeos. Estas preguntas fueron sobre la educación de estas mujeres y su infancia, a qué juegos solían jugar cuando eran pequeñas, cómo era su vida comparada con la vida de nuestras niñas y niños y qué opinan ellas sobre la igualdad entre mujeres y hombres.
Aquí podéis ver las preguntas de nuestro alumnado.

Estos videos se subieron al TwinSpace y el alumnado de 5º tradujo las preguntas realizadas por todo el alumnado de los distintos centros a las mujeres invitadas, formamos auténticos equipos internacionales.
¡Fue un placer contar con la colaboración de estas mujeres! Nos contaron cómo ha cambiado el papel de la mujer a lo largo de los años, los logros que han habido y también animaron a nuestro alumnado a seguir buscando la igualdad entre mujeres y hombres ¡Muchas gracias a las madres y abuelas de nuestro alumnado!

                        LEPRECHAUN THE IRISH FAIRY                 

St. Patrick is the patron saint of Ireland ( 17th March ). 

This celebration, it has become more and more popular with parades, music and songs both in Ireland and in countries to which the Irish have emigrated.  People wear green, the colour that represents the ‘Emerald Isle, 

and shamrocks as a badge on the lapel.

Sometimes, in the parades, you will see people dressed as leprechauns. Leprechauns are Ireland’s national fairy. They take the form of old men dressed in red or, more often nowadays, in green. They are solitary creatures but they enjoy mischief. They spend their time making shoes and, as they are miserly, they store the gold in a pot which they hide 

at the end of the rainbow.

ALHAMBRA NIEVAS NOS VISITA!

ALHAMBRA NIEVAS, THE BEST RUGBY REFEREE OF THE WORLD, VISITS US.

On Thursday, March 7, Women's Week, Alhambra Nievas came to our school.

The reason for her visit was to show the children that the professions are not a matter of gender, and Alhambra has reached the top, in a stereotyped sport as masculine.

The students have interviewed Alhambra to know about her profession and what barriers she has overcome throughout her career. In addition to all his concerns about a sport, as described by Alhambra, "transmits very good values."

We highlight her words "In rugby the referee is respected and the opponent too, we treat each other as equals, we are supportive and we work as a team, it is a very noble sport"
