 PENPALS PROJECT FINLAND-SPAIN
As implementation of the Erasmus+ Project, "PLAN DE DESARROLLO EUROPEO DEL CEIP ABENCERRAJES" which takes place in our center in the current school year 2018-2019, we have received the visit (observation during a week) of the Finnish teacher Eija-Liisa Velthausz from the Vierumäen Primary School in Vantaa, Finland. As a result of this visit, a new project has emerged, Penpals Project Granada-Vantaa, with Finnish students and students of 4th grade of our center, within the English language lessons.

WOMEN: Women Of Modern European Nations eTwinning Project 2018-2019

New eTwinning project about the role of women in the European Cultural Heritage.

5th grade primary pupils are going to work with students from Italy, Greece, United Kingdom, Turkey and Spain.

In this video girls and boys introduce themselves to their new European friends.

Han leído un cuento "THE MIXED UP CHAMELEON"
y han hecho juntos la manualidad

Finalmente han regalado el cuento a sus amigas y amigos de Infantil.

Comenzamos el curso escolar con un nuevo proyecto Erasmus+.

Viajamos al centro de primaria Vierumäen en Vantaa, Finlandia para observar y aprender del sistema educativo de exito de este país.

 SEMANA EUROPEA DE LA PROGRAMACIÓN.

Con la ayuda de Zaplycode el alumnado de todos los niveles de primaria ha codificado y desarrollado imágenes de Halloween. En el siguiente video podrás ver los resultados.

¡Felicidades! Su centro ha sido galardonado con los Sellos de Calidad Europeos por el excelente trabajo realizado en los proyectos "All different, all the same" y "No barriers to reading" de eTwinning. Esto significa que su trabajo, el trabajo de sus estudiantes y el de su centro ha sido reconocido al más alto nivel europeo.

Por ese motivo, va a recibir ambos certificados que puede colgar en su página(s) web y exponerlo en un lugar destacado de su centro escolar. Asimismo, sus proyectos aparecerán en un sitio especial del Portal europeo en www.etwinning.net.

Abencerrajes students who are part of the international group "Fantasy" have drawn, in turn, and have uploaded their contribution to the design of our collaborative cover.

ACTION AND HORROR GROUP
Virginia is the only member in the "Action and Horror Group" from Granada. She has answered some questions like "Ghost" and also she has written some questions like an interviewer. 

ADVENTURE AND DRAMATIC GROUP
Abencerrajes students who are part of the international group "Adventure and Dramatic" have created some questions, with three possibles answers, and they have uploaded them to our collaborative Kahoot. We are looking forward to use the game, let's play!!

COMEDY AND MYSTERY GROUP

"Comedy and Mystery" members from Granada  have chosen their favourite trick, the peas trick. The twins attacked the Canterville Ghost throwing him peas. They have drawn a comic strip and it has been uploaded to our collaborative digtal book.

Girls and boys here you have got the book, remember you have to read it and later we will answer the question about each chapter in the Forum of our TwinSpace.

The Canterville Ghost

Last session about the reading of the story "The Canterville Ghost". The activity consisted in a set of selected questions about each chapter that we could find in the TwinSpace. In turns, we answered all the questions posed from their point of view. Students were very participative and we had a wonderful time commenting this wonderful work.

"ALL DIFFERENT, ALL THE SAME" eTwinning Project

SUSAN LAUGHS, JUST LIKE YOU, JUST LIKE ME!!

We read the story and later we talked about functional diversity.
All the students commented, in mother tongue, that they could do what Susan does, just like her. They learnt some words about the story and finally they played a game of couples, they had to look for the images of the book with each pictogram.

Class 2nd made the game with the same cards but they had to look for the pairs saying, in English, the words from the story of Susan to their classmates.

WHAT IS LITERATURE FOR YOU?

"NO BARRIERS TO READING" eTwinning Project

The students of Abencerrajes school held the debate to decide what is literature for them, for this the following steps were taken:
- Each student explained what literature is and, during these exhibitions, some students told their classmates that they do not like reading at all.
- Other students explained why they like reading and they advised their friends some books which could be interesting for them.
- After the interventions of every pupil, the students who had said that they did not like reading decided to read some of the recommended readings by their classmates.
- Finally, in small groups, definitions about "What is literature for you?" were decided. There were five proposals, selected in teams. The most voted were chosen to upload it in the "Answer Garden"of our eTwinning Project "No barriers to reading"
-  Read the agreed conclusions among all the students in this image and wacth the video below,
-The students, their teacher Dani and myself have enjoyed with this debate.
